A successful marsden fund application which I was an RA onwas a great way to start my doctoral research, and that experience has really shaped my CV and career. Lots of learning, several articles, and a book with my name on. That application wouldn’t even be looked at now under this new system.

I want to understand what brought people to occupy parliament four years ago, motivates climate activists to engage in radical action, and what drives fears of immigration in white communities. Most importantly, it speaks to how society should respond when existential fears dominate politics.
