Utterly shameful for the United States Secretary of Defense, the hinge in the chain of command that orders troops into battle, to say this out loud, much less at a commemoration of D-Day.
First, he didn't blame the refs for the loss. He said they made it harder to win against a great team like the Spurs, and that his team didn't execute. Second, any coach who sees his star get mauled like that in a playoff game with no call needs to call out the refs. It's part of his job.
There are only two things you need to be a true New Yorker:
