In the latest Planetary Perspectives, Praveen Kumar and Jacob Haqq-Misra draw on the Pennamite-Yankee Wars, a colonial-era dispute where both Connecticut and Pennsylvania held legal claims to the same valley, to explore what overlapping territorial claims might look like on the Red Planet.
Ranger proposed that alien civilizations might be using technology to later their own transit signals that others may receive, and considers how we might be able to identify a signal hidden within the transit data we collect.
On top of that, Ranger was a member of our 2021 YSP cohort at Blue Marble Space, and it’s wonderful for us to see their career growing!
