FYI, the venue for this is most likely McCormick Place near downtown. Though the convention center near O’Hare might be big enough if they can use pretty much all of it.
For the record, I think the DVD player we got was the Philips MAGNAVOX 825, which sold for between $200-250, though we may have gotten it for a little less right after Christmas. Composite/S-Video only, but it did have digital audio out.
Typically this would have gotten a release on digital services via a single or compilation album, though that’s not a guarantee.

Rewatched Detective Pikachu on the plane from New Orleans to ORD. Noticed a few new things. I do wonder if the superpowered Ditto helped inspire aspects of Pokopia.
Going back to the Pokopia DLC announcement from earlier this week. The general consensus seems to be that Bubbly Basin is a flooded Cerulean City. It’ll be interesting to see what they cram in there, given the city has a lot of adjacent geography, such as the exit of Mt. Moon, Cerulean Cave,
