Repost because of a typo driving me nutty. (Another piece of my inner journalist breaking though.)
Cooper’s Hawk from this morning taken from the front porch. I got a better photo of the tail feathers…better luck next time. We’re pretty sure this guy is why the grackle population in the yard has diminished. 🪶
I’ve connected w/ 2 photogs in the last 6 months who worked w/ Joseph Beuys. I have no idea what I’m doing w/ the info I’m collecting but this has been an interesting ride that’s given me life.
If anything, I realize I still have that curious journalist in me who can identify threads easily.

Heavy dark cumulus clouds lazily hung in the sky yesterday afternoon. I watched them float by, wishing I could simply pierce those clouds open with my eyes.
But no rain. Just rumbles.
I’ve been trying to get a decent photo of a Cooper’s Hawk for about 5 years now. One landed in front of our neighbor’s sprinkler this morning right when I walked out the front door. The raptor hung around long enough for me to grab my camera & get a few shots. A sign of good fortune in my eyes 🪶

Joseph Beuys, ‘Vitex Agnus Castus’ Naples, 6/15/72 +~
For about 4 hours, Beuys motioned his grease-coated palm between copper sheets until his body vibrated ostensibly from energy he created. This action represented a rebalancing in gender equality: pinakothek-beuys-multiples.de/product/vite...
And I can admit & acknowledge that my intense interest in Joseph Beuys is a bit of a coping mechanism with the current state of the world. But I’m not going to question it. And hopefully I can turn it into something more meaningful with time ++
