Another nice bonus is you can send specific searches as static URLs, like this:
eveninghousebooks.com/genre/histor...
A look at some new arrivals!
If you’re looking for summer reads, come give the shop or site a look 🌞

The new site is live!!

Amanda wrote a message about the change on Instagram, feel free to check it out there 🫡
Let us help you find good books!!
Ultimately, what we're after is a bookstore website that is clean and enticing, but also well-equipped to connect people with books based on specific wants
This is our third iteration of the site since we opened last year, and I really think Amanda hit something special here
here's a quick example:
You search historical fiction, and with the filtering, you decide you only want to look at in-stock paperbacks put out by New Directions.
You could even specify what language the book is translated from, page count or pub date
Also worth noting: this new website has a lot of features that only come to life on desktop (for now, at least)
Mobile version is also sweet, but the desktop version has a filtering column to narrow down your searches. Can help when trying to find something to scratch specific itches
This rocked! Read the final third in one sitting this morning. The single sentence, and and and format becomes this beautiful way to move the story along. It’s gorgeous
and gory
and lovely
Also — shoutout @eveninghouse.bsky.social for being the only bookstore on earth to have a copy pre-award

Another "weird fiction" #BookMail ordered from @eveninghouse.bsky.social -- I wouldn't have known of this work without their curated site.
