It was fun to revisit FRLG. Kanto still is one of the most open/sandbox-y regions, especially with ACE in FRLG. RBY allows more freedom with how much you can manipulate those games, but FRLG being polished is a more fulfilling experience, assuming you're willing to use ACE.
Achievements include:
- Pokémon League Champion (1st trainer star) & rematch Champion
- Pokémon Tower complete
- Kanto Pokédex Diploma (2nd trainer star)
- Full living Pokédex of all available Pokémon in Kanto and the Sevii Islands including legendaries and mythicals*
It was a fun challenge using NFE Pokémon. A more challenging Kanto experience than Red/LGPE imo. I used this opportunity to experiment with ACE to use non-Kanto Pokémon (Trapinch), get infinite candies (for dex filling), and getting to experience the Ho-Oh/Lugia & Deoxys events.
Quick stop for a tasty snack~ 💜🐾

*excluding Raikou/Entei as I didn't want to replay the game two more times)
- Side content: Fame Checker completion, 1st tier egg/league trainer card stickers, Magikarp Net Ball quest, Heracross Nest Ball quest , Resort Gorgeous Luxury Ball quest
- Trainer card back-side multiplayer achievements
I'm planning on completing some of these once I finish my next re-playthrough of Emerald and get my paws back on my second GBA. In the meantime this is as close to 100% as I can reasonably get.
What I skipped (and am excluding from "100%" for my sanity) due to multiplayer/time limitations:
- National Pokédex and Dodrio Jump / Berry minigames (3rd & 4th trainer stars)
- 3rd tier trainer card stickers including Link Battle sticker
I've officially finished my 100% (mostly) re-playthrough of Pokémon FireRed. It was a very different experience from playing at as a kid who never completed the postgame or completed the Pokédex.
You called him cute and he’s all flustered now! Oh nooo 💜🐾
