Do emotions drive political engagement?
 A busy pizzeria takes many orders and makes many pizzas, but its busyness doesn’t *cause* these, except via feedback effects. Likewise, I argue here, emotions correlate with new evaluations and motivations, but don’t *cause* them, except via feedback effects.
