Beyond the multiple documented times one of these companies has stolen designs or artwork, silicone isn't the greatest material for gear. It's damaged by the silicone based shine used for latex, and it can't be repaired like latex either. Sure, it's cheaper, but is that worth it?

Furry needs more, smaller events. Not just cons. Arts markets, one-off dance nights, pub nights, BBQs in the park and beach trips. Don't get too focused on the big giant conventions when there's a thriving community all around you! (And if there isn't, build one!)
