I have a hard time caring if the financials match the budget since the budget is MADE UP... even more so than everything else in this world
I'm being asked to keep one of my employees organized and on task for 21 days because apparently that's the amount of time they think he needs to learn those skills. That's sounding a lot like micromanaging or babysitting him. I told them, in my experience, you can't teach organization
Also, I imagine it's more fulfilling to directly contribute to your own survival. I'll even risk starvation for it at this point

Listen, he's a great employee. He's normally the front desk manager and he's great at that, I just don't think this is his thing OR he has too many responsibilities doing both jobs
