Enjoyed the wonderful Nobel Week in Stockholm. Congratulations again to our big boss Susumu Kitagawa, and other Chemistry Laureates Omar Yaghi and Richard Robson.
Last week, we had a two-day kickoff meeting of our JST ASPIRE project in Madrid!! Discussed a lot of unpublished works, future directions, and collaboration ideas. Thanks, Javier Troyano, for the great organization!! #JST #ASPIRE
MOPEG gel appeared in @jacs.acspublications.org!! The MOP gel, covalently linked by PEG, affords free coordination sites that recognize guest molecules, and changes its size and mechanical properties. Great work by Tomoki Tateishi @tomokitateishi.bsky.social!!

A new POP for gas-drug combination therapy!! The excellent teamwork led by our former postdoc Tina is now published in ACS AMI!!

[First first author paper] Our PhD student, Ayana Miyata, published her work on 1D vdW porous fibrils assembled from MOPs in @jacs.acspublications.org. Her dedicated efforts and leadership led to this great achievement. Congratulations!!
Group reunion at Mexico City. Eli is doing great at UNAM!! Always wonderful to catch up with Ilich ;)
MOPEG, a new PEG-based polymer gel crossliked by MOP, shows macroscale deformation by coordinative guest recognition!! The idea from our former postdoc, Tomoki @tomokitateishi.bsky.social, finally appeared on @chemrxiv.org!!

New PI promotion alert!! Our postdoc, Emily Meekel, left the group and will start research as an assistant professor at Birmingham @uobchemistry.bsky.social next year. We had a farewell party at Vegi Shabu-Shabu restaurant. Emily's work in Kyoto will be posted sometime soon. Good luck, Emily!
Our Assoc. Prof. Tomoko Inose moved to RIKEN as a unit leader!! She is also affiliated with iCeMS and is now a PI. We are so happy to see how Tomoko flies high!! Congratulations, Tomoko!!
