Yesterday, the President threatened to strip DC of Home Rule if he does not like the election outcome in our local elections. We stand together to say clearly: that is an attack on democracy.
What Trump has done to DC's economy is not only tragic, it was deliberate. He has tried to dismantle the Black middle class. We need to rebuild our economy in a way that is not dependent on the federal government.
