Work last night, and had just enjoyed a calm and uneventful drive from Birmingham to Bristol on this Voyager. Temple Meads looks resplendent in the evening light since the scaffolding was removed.
There is a simple answer that would mean you could board Eurostar the same as any other train without all the performance. But that particular political can of worms might be better off left closed in here.
One of the solutions is to use the opportunity to make Birmingham Curzon Street and other HS2 stations international stations connected to HS1, reuse Ebbsfleet and Ashford for international trains etc But we just don’t have the political will.
I've had it at 90mph with a signal protecting a junction. It reverted when I was between the AWS magnet and the signal too. Came to a stand right on top of the junction. It is not pleasant at all. Hope you're ok.
