You're more susceptible to social engineering than you may think you are. Stay on your toes and always question extremely urgent out of the blue messages. Reach out to the source via a different means to confirm if you're concerned.
I know this probably isn't just Internet Safety... mostly just best practice in life as a whole... Use some really basic common sense whenever you look at anything on the internet. If it seems TOO GOOD to be true, it most definitely is and for the most part your gut instinct is always correct.
