This program is a fascinating opportunity to receive support at different career stages. It brings together many brilliant, knowledgeable mentors who are open to sharing their experience.
What kind of path — from random decisions to mindset shifts — brought us to where we are now, and how does it influence our research? Which reasons for doing neuroscience do we present to the world, and what are the real ones?
One day of reflection in Heidelberg.

Neurons in the wild! Wanna do some naturalistic neuroscience? Observed on a frozen lake near Winterberg.

I am glad that this discussion went beyond our workshop. It's important to reflect on why we study things in one way or another, but it shouldn’t be a source of discouragement.
Neuronal encoding – so widely used, yet so many questions remain for me. I am so intrigued to discuss the topic with our amazing guests. Join us for the discussion in Paris!
I remember feeling overwhelmed learning everyday routines that were different from home after moving abroad. Sometimes you don’t even know what you’re supposed to know, so you don’t ask. I got a lot of help when I moved, and I believe in sharing experiences to make each other’s lives a little easier
I think it is about time for me to learn what a neuron is. Is it time for you?
If you’re planning to move to Germany from outside the EU, I would be happy to support you. I can assist you with your PhD position search or with challenges you might encounter along the way in your studies.

We are happy to announce the first workshop in our new series: Back to Basics!
The goal of this series is to take a fresh look at the basic assumptions held in our field.
In the first workshop, we will ask the most fundamental question: What is a neuron?

We are super happy to present our first preprint - the effect of our Rethinking Naturalistic Behaviour Workshop - where we look more critically at the term "naturalistic behaviour" and point to its vagueness and inconsistency in its use! osf.io/preprints/os...
