Thank you! Took a looot of practice to understand gesture enough to make it look the way I want
shells are often called "golems", aka drones that mimics can use as tools or humans can use like Stands. Golems are mindless mimics with basic abilities (3D printing and pocket space storage) and get linked to the nervous system of a designated host. Usually programmed to protect the host from harm.
all mimics are 3D printers that print their own bodies, so it only takes some modifications to make a shell that can be controlled remotely. Another baseline ability is an inherent compatibility to the nervous systems of intelligent life e.g. a mimic arm works as a prosthetic for a human one.
committing war crimes but looking up wistfully and going "I coveted that wind, I suppose." and everyone I mercilessly killed goes "awww" and forgives me and buys me ice cream
Sturdy as hell. Baxter is slightly heavier than he looks, and very composed
well, first Zant cursed him, and then,
(the actual reason is kinda complicated but it happened through Vance saving Victor's life at the cost of almost losing his own, and having his nervous system bonded to a new empty shell being the only way to save him. again, complicated)
Former. The way I described it removes a decent bit of context e.g. the shell started out as a puppet-body that Vance could control, first given as a means of protection for when Victor isn't around. It was based on a fursona design Vance commissioned but never went public with (he's a closet furry)
LIKEWISE!!
