genuinely from a design standpoint yes. there are a ton of moderation problems with being able to edit a post (e.g. if someone has a post blow up and edits it, and now it looks like thousands of people agree with something hateful or otherwise TOS-violating)

that highly requested feature you want would fundamentally work differently and is taking longer to implement because of the nature of this platform. the devs are not conspiring against you to withhold features you want.
