Today I pushed through the deck spindles & escaped to the yard! I really wanted my daily treat from the house next door. Unfortunately, my mom, sister and neighbor were quick enough to catch me. Now I feel defeated because I must always be tied up on the deck. ☹️ 😭 #dogsofbluesky

If I had a dog house, I'd be in it today! I've been quite naughty and destructive. First the TP from the bathroom & then I wasn't allowed in while Mom showered. So I tore a hole in the couch & ripped up the padding. Just a matter of time with the couch & we all knew it. Mom is not happy with me. 😡
🔊 I can no longer be trusted when unattended so I have been tethered in Mom's room while she does stuff. I do not appreciate being confined or restricted. #ridglanbeagles Now we're both mad. 😡 I'm afraid I won't win this battle & won't have as much freedom in the house. Mom can be quite stubborn.

I took Mom for a walk today. It was my first time really trying to see how fast I could go, but slow Mom was holding me back. I wish I could run free and do some #zoomies! Maybe some day when I'm not a flight risk. I'm doing much better on the leash(es) - annoying that I need 2 😡 - and harness now.
I saw a fellow #dogsofbluesky doing a Laura Ingalls on the prairie run through the field flowers 🌼 and it was beautiful. I thought I should copy it, but I got frustrated when I couldn't run alone to feel the wind in my ears. So I gave Mom this irritated face and refused to move. #doubleleash 😠

I used to live in Dane County and have berated their DA via voicemails and emails for the past few months but that goes nowhere without people like Wayne and his organization The Simple Heart
I just sent this note to our entire network of rescuers.
I don't throw around the term "hero." I define it generally as a person who goes beyond what anyone expects of them, to the point that they risk life or freedom, in order to do good within a moral and ethical framework, most commonly to save others. I think Wayne Hsiung met that definition today.
