Something tells me Mike Tapp isn't optimistic about his job prospects in a Burnham government
Things Might Actually Get Better
sad to hear Bobby Prince has left us. youtu.be/rLvSD5HuIcE?...
Anyway, Burnham time. Always been a fan, though I question whether he has the stomach to pare back some of Labour's especially rightward leaps as of late. Either way, hopeful for something more urgent and less reactionary than Starmer.
Wishful thinking on my part, but I'd like to think at least someone in Makerfield was swayed against Reform by the neighbouring St Helens Council's farcical barrage of bigotry towards refugees and Pride since taking power
When the new Reform leadership of a Merseyside council tried to withdraw all funding for Refugee week plans, it left those running one main events in the town heartbroken But through fighting back and overwhelming public support - they are going ahead with their plans and bringing people together

Fresh from scrapping any support and funding for Refugee Week events, the new Reform UK leadership at St Helens Council has ceased all support for Pride events in the town. Grim.
The new leader of St Helens Council has declared they will not support Pride events anymore because of it being ‘left-leaning’ and ‘harming children.’ Unsurprisingly, I think he is a despicable and craven human being, and that goes for the council he runs as well.
