Alouche et al. examine the signals governing FRC differentiation and identify a Notch2-dependent process by which homeostatic mature dendritic cells drive Ccl19hi T-zone fibroblast differentiation, maintain segregation of distinct T-zone niches, and support CD8+ T cell memory formation.
