IF the computer models come to be as they are currently indicating, then the London region could well see maximum temperatures anywhere between 36-40 deg C in 10 or so days time. The June all time record will then be at risk. Major watching brief 👀

UK Spring 2026 was the warmest ever on record (despite a bunch of cold days). That’s records going back 367 years. Are you smelling the coffee yet? Ignore the anthropic climate change deniers in @gbnewsonline.bsky.social & Reform U.K., for they are lying to you!
I believe we can forget any 30 deg C highs for the U.K. this weekend & into Monday (rioters stand down). It’ll be warm & pleasant enough for most, but the bigger heat looks set to kick in from next Thursday.
Apologies, this was cancelled right at the last minute! 😫
I’m off to the TRT World studios in London for a Roundtable debate on the surging 2026/7 El Niño & what that may mean for the ecosystems of the world. As the song goes, “ There may be trouble ahead” !!! 😱
Super El Niño + ongoing anthropic climate change = disasters of all kinds unfolding in the months ahead. It starts with fear & price rises for commodities such as coffee, cocoa & sugar; it then unfolds with catastrophic & deadly weather events. Prepare now, prepare well!
One for the cricket fans & wise punters out there. The England v New Zealand 1st Test Match at Lords starting on Thursday… rain will stop play & often. Mark it! 😉

Good morning Wednesday. It’s NOT this weekend that temperatures will reach crazy levels (15-28 deg C) countrywide peaks, but it could well be the following weekend when we may well see a +36 deg C (97F) in the London area - which would beat the all-time June record of 35.6 deg C. Watching brief 👀
I’ll be joining presenter Fiona Stalker on BBC Radio Scotland at 1725, chatting the ‘super’ El Niño & what it might mean for the world going forward. Prepare now! 🫣

Good Morning. A bolt out of the blue! Today I’m involved in tracking shower & thunderstorm activity on site in the London area for a film production company. Such is life!
