The operative word in my post was "some." It was a reply in context, responding to the notion that the armed forces could successfully stand together. The ones who are "the good guys" would still get cast out for "standing together" by the bad guys.
What we are seeing from Trump and by extension Hegseth right now is total impotence. They are screaming and yelling at Iran and our allies because they can’t get it up politically or militarily. Their failure is someone else’s fault but they’re the ones who can’t perform.

"I told you so" is not just a gloat. It's asking them to recognize that your pattern recognition is better than theirs, and that they take you seriously next time. That just maybe, they realize they are wrong BEFORE the damage is dealt.
