this is also why the movie specifically takes away Indy's gun AND even goes out of its way to show you the effects of his whip on him when they whip his back before making him drink the black blood

but the movie also clearly has feelings ABOUT children (whom it is made for) and specifically how Indy relates to children? like did you remember that he apologizes to children twice in this movie? or how much the plot turns on Indy not being able to abide child slavery/abuse? it's the central pivot
