Did Reform lose because they were too woke?
A columnist earning 8 times your salary assumes the answer is yes, and investigates from there.
I'm pleased to see AB won. Now can the political press finally give it a rest with being the Reform-promoting media. Some of us , the majority as it happens, prefer less bigoted, sexist news with our cuppa in the morning.!
#Makerfield
@luketryl.bsky.social I was quite disappointed that you didn't mention @EdDavey on Sky News just now, when discussing leader favourability. KB , NF, l ZP all got mentioned by you, but Davey was totally omitted.
I think they prefer to pretend we don't exist... Despite all our MPs, our local councillors, and the local councils we control or lead...
I'm nearly eight years older than him? 😶
Notable that Reform did (for a while) throw everything at Makerfield but progressive voters united to stop them. Farage and his politics of division and hate can be stopped from getting anywhere near Government if people vote tactically.
Competency is no longer a priority. Voters are willing to try something – anything – new, just as long as it can induce a faith in what they are led to believe will be a better future.
