The idea you seemed to honestly believe people simply needed you to point out they don't make enough money is... bizarre.
I'm not a big fan of days devoted to family roles. I've seen so much soul-crushing pain from folks over the years. Some b/c that person caused them profound harm or because losing that person was a shattering loss. Anyway, no shade on the celebrating, just thinking of the folks quietly suffering.
