History shows us there are 2 options when faced with a rising far right.
1. Deal with it quickly and decisively.
2. Let it win.
The great majority reject it. But it doesn't need majority support: just enough thugs to intimidate everyone else. Weakness and indecision by government let it rise.

Today I met with the Climate Minister, @katiewhitemp.bsky.social. I relayed concerns expressed to me on Saturday at the "People's Emergency Briefing", which marked the start of Sidmouth's Great Big Green Week.
The Minister responded favourably to the idea that the Briefing might be aired on TV.
