I ended up going down the rabbit hole with the plants. Some are scavenged plastic plants from an old aquarium and others bought on sale from Michaels. There are some plants from my yard and others crafted out of green stuff. The monster himself falls into that last category.
Here’s the entire diorama. It started as an attempt to improve my technique in blending and highlighting skin tones. Once I finished the orc figure, I thought it would look nice set in a tropical rain forest diorama, with the orc as a hunter.

Just took a drive down South Blvd. Heavily Latino commercial area standing between the edge of the urban core (lower South End) and more suburban neighborhoods. Very quiet, many businesses closed especially those without lockable doors. People clearly on edge. No visible CBP presence.
