Sixty years ago today a very competitive card at Nottingham was the principal meeting. Monday October 4th 1965 also featured a card from the late, lamented Wye National Hunt course.
Two weeks have flown by, but surprisingly when I checked the website stats, it's actually been busier without SM links than with! Therefore I won't be posting daily links to the website, but it will still be updated daily. The Facebook group will remain. I actually hate social media!

Monday 30 September 1974 saw a bumper nine-race Nottingham card, more flat at Hamilton, plus early season jumpers at Fontwell and Carlisle.
Not much in the way of interaction today, but the horses I was looking for were Indian Diva, Saucy Belle, Never Rock & Prime Justice who were all making their rules debuts before going on to finish last in the 76-79 Grand Nationals. Rough Silk (72) was also right.

The first leg of the Autumn Double, The Cambridgeshire at Newmarket, was on Saturday 2 October 1999. Sandown and Redcar also raced on the flat, while Chepstow’s televised card, along with Uttoxeter, provided something for National Hunt fans to get to grips with.
Racing Mirror on Saturday 3 October 1981 covered a superb weekend including the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp. Chepstow, Towcester and Kelso jumpers were also in action, as well as a flat card at Haydock.
