I still think the 1995 movie did the tournament story better. I think this movie actually has the same problem MK Annihilation has where there's just too many characters doing too much shit for the audience to care. Like several major, beloved characters die and the movie just quickly moves on

The Mortal Kombat 2 movie was mostly a fun time
Oh so the movie is not called "Everyday Gay Heroes"
This is basically the holy grail of movie soundtrack songs for me
I did like how the movie embraces just how ridiculous the special moves and fatalities can be with its fight scenes, but most of them weirdly felt small scale because many are staged in tiny sets or in front of green screens.
