Israel controls the flow of food into Gaza. It has calculated how many calories Palestinians need to stay alive. Its data shows only a fraction has been allowed in.

And in the meantime the burden of proof falls on Palestinians (and the people helping them), even while they are essentially being wiped out.
A technocratic response: they have not concluded that Israel is conducting genocide, but they have not concluded that Israel is not conducting genocide.
Absolved of any duty to act now but covering their backs when charges of complicity are brought later.

We can only conclude that the UK government just does not want to admit what everybody else can see: that genocide is being committed in Gaza, and it is being committed with the military, diplomatic and material support of the UK.
