On a lunchtime walk a few days ago I found this scene by the Cart in Glasgow. Fox mum was trying to groom her two cubs but the cubs just wanted to play their game, which mostly involved running about and biting each other on the backside.

This was nearly over before I pressed the button. Adult Kingfisher is feeding a wee fish to newly-fledged junior 1 (with back to camera), then junior 2 arrives, and then all three exit to left of frame. On the River Kelvin in Glasgow this afternoon. #birds
A Brown Hare i met recently, in a field above Rothesay on the Isle of Bute.

The Kelvin cuts a deep gorge through west end Glasgow, up to 60ft below road level. Makes for dramatic vistas with high bridges, towering churches, tall sandstone tenements and trees including Redwoods. Some light even gets through to where the wildlife is. #birds
A colourful male Chaffinch on his way back to the nest with supplies for his offspring. There are at least five crane flies (?) there. At Loch Fad, Isle of Bute. #birds
