Don't you just love it when, as a middle-aged person brimming with sarcasm and bitterness, you pour your heart out on social media, only for a kid barely out of diapers to chime in with unsolicited life advice?
A reminder that one sure-fire way to push back against the sea of hopelessness and horror is to find a cause you can contribute to with your time and/or resources, if that’s an option for you. Personally I find it’s most beneficial when it’s something hands-on and in my own neighborhood or city.
