on your kingdom and its values,

may the life of your kingdom
grow in us and permeate the world.
Let our hope rise
in the warmth of your grace,
that all may be infused by your peace.
Keep us from being constrained
by our fear and prejudices;
free us into your love.

give us a determination
to take the narrow way
in our following of you:
the way that leads us to confront
the injustices of the world
with your love;
the way that leads us to bring
to the conflicts of the world
your peace;
the way that shows you to all.

on our adventure of discipleship,
keep us always mindful of those
with whom and among whom we travel,
and those whom we meet on their travels.
Remind us that we are each
held in your love and precious to you;
so may we honour all.

from the temptation
to seek our own glory,
to promote our own image,
