Given the rise of cheap survey data and quant poli sci 101, a naive brand of political analysis I see all the time now is to assume that voters make their decisions only bc of the policies parties support. This is wrong and I call it The Strategist's Fallacy.

The average American voter does not think about politics the way elite strategists and pundits do
