I can never understand why world leaders bring their spouses to summits with them. Has anything useful ever come from this? don't they have useful things to do back home? (though @thetimes.com recommends the hotel spa)

a friend in govt in Australia told me the Oz social media ban is not really aimed at current teenagers .. its aimed at enabling parents to keep the next wave of children off social media. So its aimed at 5 year olds not 15 year olds..
This is the point being made by the Mumsnet spokesperson on the Today programme..
