In MA, about 20% of grocery sales are from SNAP - SNAP is a critical part of our economy in every city and town across the Commonwealth!
The #Medicaid work requirement enacted by last year’s Republican reconciliation law was already bad enough – taking away coverage from millions who don’t show either that they’re working enough or are exempt. But the Trump administration’s final rule makes a bad policy worse.

MLRI is grateful for the advocacy and leadership of Sen Kennedy and Sen Tarr on this crucial issue. We look forward to working with the legislature to ensure that DTA has enough staff to ensure families in Massachusetts can quickly, accurately, and with dignity connect to SNAP.
