This is abominable US behavior. It's a devastating outcome from the personal to the global level.

@rmkubinec.bsky.social and I share interesting early results from ongoing survey in Saudi Arabia: 1) Strong support for the US-Saudi partnership despite two months of conflict. 2) Evenly divided public opinion about attacking Iran. theconversation.com/how-are-saud...

I have finally discovered where the dividing line between humanities and the social sciences really is. Humanities articles must add -ies to nouns, such as "etiologies of quasi-masculine proto-liminalities". Social science articles must use only 5 verbs: show, suggest, utilize, reveal & summarize.

I love me a good fightin' stats meme 👀
You'd also end up voting in the GOP governor primary, and there's not really much there in terms of appealing choices, but it seems like Pamela Evette is the most "normal" candidate (and oddly, the one Trump endorsed 🤷).

To be clear though, *accepting* JOP reviews does not make it any more likely they will publish your piece 😅 Tails they win, heads you lose 🙄
If you are a South Carolina registered voter, consider voting in the *GOP* primary--especially the senate race. Voting for Mark Lynch could force a run-off for Lindsey Graham, giving the Democratic front-runner Annie Andrews a boost. Just one small action you can take today to support democracy 💪🇺🇸

You have a fancy dataset & AI model but you used a verb like "obfuscate"? Uh no, that's not social science. You're primarily citing Foucault but you use simple nouns in singular form? LOL that ain't the humanities, bro.

🚨 New article Today in @theconversation.com, Alexis Montambault and I present results from an ongoing survey in Saudi Arabia that reveals a kingdom divided about attacking Iran--even in self-defense. The majority of Saudis still support the US-Saudi partnership. theconversation.com/how-are-saud...

In his first interview since being kicked out of the US, FIFA referee Omar Artan tells’s the NYT’s Matt Bigg that the biggest dream of his professional life has been shattered. The World Cup ref was questioned for 11 hours, held in a cell and then dumped on a plane. www.nytimes.com/2026/06/09/w...
