Sad to learn that SCOTUS did not blow the Rooker-Feldman doctrine to smithereens today. But it does mean this nice little podcast episode on Mr. Rooker & Prof. Feldman is going to remain timely forever. ij.org/podcasts/bou...
I wrote on a 5th Circuit case challenging a short-hair mandate for boys in a Texas public school. The plaintiff has many claims but one is noticeably missing: Enforcing the right to grow your hair long. Why? It's not one of the few that's judicially favored.

I just received the terribly distressing news that Gordon Wood was hit by a car and killed yesterday. We were together with other Founding era scholars at the 2nd Judicial Circuit conference last week at Lake George, and he was as usual in fine fettle and as always enjoyable to talk to.
