The inverse option would be traveling during the day in 120 degree heat, no shade at all for 30 mile stretches and still have to risk stumbling on to a sleeping Diamond Back in a ditch. Honestly, I'd rather see them moving around anyways. Less likely we'll run directly into each other. #Backpacking
Just made some adjustments to my route out of Texas making my trip take almost 600 miles total on foot but it got a better 1/10 rating than the other two options scoring a whopping 4/10 safety score. The other two routes out of Texas scored a 1 and 2 out of 10 safety scores. #fucktexas

Searched the words #hiking and #Texas on here and got a bunch of references from literally anywhere but Texas. I think I might be having an original experience lmfao Since I've been out here for 300 miles I have not come across a single other person traveling in the same capacity. #backpacking

About to traverse the most dangerous portion of Texas I've had to so far. This particular stretch requires two 40 mile hikes back to back at night. Rattlesnakes are most active at this time and this stretch of road is basically all Semi Trucks flying at your face at 80 miles an hour. #backpacking
