I’m tired of the rhetoric supporting “don’t discuss politics”. It does matter. Our politics reflects our values. Our politics determine who lives in freedom and who stays chained. If people had heeded the taboo we have self imposed of “never discuss politics at the dinner table or with friends”
To be fair, I think a lot of people would struggle to stay awake listening to RFK Jr drone on about anything
We would never have had the American Revolution, the Civil War and reconstruction, the Civil rights movement.
Major societal change requires people willing to make their politics a reflection of who they are. Don’t treat your values as something “to wear lightly”
An organization that wasted billions on fancy buildings doing work that made no difference instead of helping the poor, the sick, the needy.
An organization that hoardes hundreds of billions like a dragon instead of again, helping the poor and needy.
