My fellow Oregon/PDX Metro sickos: per LinkedIn, Oregon City Mayor Denyse McGriff was named to the Trimet board.
She might have the highest Q rating of any city-level elected in the state. High marks everywhere. Kotek surely loves the optics of putting a Black woman on the Trimet board.
And yet…
…the “and yet” here has nothing to do with Mayor McGriff. She’s highly competent. And, because she’s a Black woman in a seat of power, Oregon Dems see fit to overload people like her with extracurriculars.
