aCOS is a spectroscopy-based technique to determine affinities between molecules, e.g. small molecules and targets, or between two or more interaction partners leveraging the change of complementary fluorescence spectroscopy parameters upon binding or dissociation.
Congratulations to Lukas @pekarekl.bsky.social for winning the poster prize at the DGfB Molecular Biophysics meeting in Hünfeld last week 🏆 - it was a fantastic meeting with lots of interesting talks & great to catch up with colleagues and sad that we missed out on many of our Israeli colleagues.
Congratulations to Pilar for her very successful PhD defense - stay tuned for her next manuscript and fantastic quantitative microscopy :)
Very happy to see our #GO-Bio initial project leader Kate in the HERstory calendar @tudresden.bsky.social for the month May 2026. Such a pleasure to work with her on fighting antibiotic resistance and adaption via the bacterial integron system.
Very happy to share our prototype to perform aCOS experiments for rapid, accurate interaction measurements with fluorescence 🕺. This wouldn't have been possible without the fantastic Andreas Hartmann and Simon Letzer & support by #SMWA, #EFRE/JTF, @bcube-tud.bsky.social and @tudresden.bsky.social 🧪🧑‍💻
