Immigrant detainees at Delaney Hall ICE prison in Newark, NJ have been forced to cook, clean, & repair the facility for as little as $1/day and sometimes for free. They are on a hunger & labor strike; protesters outside have been tear-gassed. Here's our report, including a quote from a detainee:

Half of the population in Dallas County, Alabama, where Selma is located, was African American in 1965.

Rosa Parks' refusal to stand up and give her seat up to a white passenger on the bus was not some random, one time act taken because she was tired. Her action was part of a preconceived NAACP Bus campaign for equality and Parks was a dedicated activist. "Small" actions matters.
