people now are so so so so so so so so so afraid to admit they were wrong/underinformed more than they're afraid of actually supporting or committing evil itself. being 'scolded' is worse than fucking anything to what feels like literally everyone
one more thing: do not use this situation to suggest that people should never speak up about racism/bigotry/etc in fandom bc it's "harassment". criticism =/= dogpiling. i hope people have enough sense to judge the difference
