sorry I felt very yappy about it I don't know if people are still debating this I just like hammering the point home

point being there is like a whole 10 page essay worth of evidence that mizuki is 100% a trans character and so much of the writing requires her to be trans to make any sense, and so it's reasonable to assume a lot of the mizuki related dialogue can be read from that angle idk
and the way that she's told that she's essentially delusional for what she thinks of herself (which wouldn't make any sense if all she was just a "guy who dresses feminine" or some shit), implying that she came out at a very young age and was rejected by many people
mizuki and ena hear K's music but the music is cheery and doesn't resonate with them, mizuki's avoidance only really has her look at ena and be done with it, etc it's like a hypothetical, would you go back in time and undo your pain, but in doing so, the paths you cross will shift heavily
of course these lines aren't like clear cut implying transphobia but if you put together the context clues of mizuki's story and the way people act exhausted at needing to use certain language around her (gendering her correctly, presumably) or how the students in mizu5 talk about her
piece of evidence number [we lost count] that mizuki is a trans girl the way people talk to her seem to be mocking her identity and alienating her from being considered a girl, and telling her if she didn't want this ridicule then she should just "dress normally"
for a while we've only really gotten glimpses of the sort of shit people were saying to her but the full statements seem to me like mizuki is treated as like, some "other" like "yeah I guess we CAN call you a girl but you're still like, not REALLY one, you're some freak" sort of rhetoric

someone you loved and held dear could turn into a passing encounter, one that will easily fade from memory. and if you do meet, you'll never be able to connect with them in the same way, that bond might never be as strong as you once knew
kanade and mafuyu end up crossing paths meanwhile ena and mizuki only really end up brushing by each other, they would've never even known about each other had their lives not played out the way they did and it makes me sad to see all the times they keep crossing but nothing happens

and then there's the whole "doing it for attention angle" that's presented, which is a very common perception of trans people, that it's just some "fake shit" and we're doing it for attention and we should just conform to their standards if we dont want to be harassed
