Going to foreign countries that speak excellent English and using it to order things in stores but looking extra apologetic the whole time so they know I feel a sense of linguistic guilt
Whoever storyboarded this Oslo Pride trailer just absolutely *gets it*. Why I tell taxi drivers I'm "visiting my girlfriend" by default. The little safety checks you do, juuuuuuust incase. Honestly a fantastic ad.
Should have brought my sunglasses. Nice day in Rotterdam but I'm stumbling around like this
Tired. Sleepy, even.
When I talk about my Japanese degree, I get a lot of questions about whether I felt like translation would become obsolete with technology.
Here is how YouTube's auto-dub feature translated the simple phrase "ima, ikimasu". In MMO-gaming English "I'm going to pull now."
I'm not too worried yet.
Happy Pride Month. Still gay out here unless you are my one true love, Hitomi from Dead or Alive
First day against Kefka Ultimate! We only had two hours but we saw the Tele-Trouncing mechanic a lot which was great.
Honestly so far Phase 1 is a blast, better than FRU/TOP for me. Although the hitboxes for these arrows seem a bit more unforgiving than I'd expect? Still, it's only day one. 🫡
Decided to play Sage for the next FFXIV Ultimate with Kefka so I went out and bought THE Sage weapon of all time from FRU.
(also I'm on the Moon for some reason)
Become very aware recently that romantically if someone said they wanted to be my 'Knight' I'd melt pretty quickly.
I know it's a little fairytaleish but I can't help but like that kind of dynamic.
I even made a whole MTG deck based around Knights without realising I have a thing for them
