Translations I've seen modern AI tools do:
Yes -> No, please
Okay -> Okay, asshole
Joe! -> It's a nice race car, Roy, but I don't think we can afford it
Imagine running a tool like this on your entire game

Anthropic and OpenAI know their subsidized subscription-based customers won't pay the actual cost of AI, which is why they allow them to burn $8k to $14k in tokens a month on a $200-a-month subscription. There's no way these users would accept token-based billing.

It appears that Fable and Mythos were banned after Amazon researchers - and CEO Andy Jassy - reported that it was possible to jailbreak Fable to the US commerce department.
This all times terribly with its supposed upcoming IPO.

RE the social media ban for kids
I get it, I'm parenting a teenager and a tween. It's terrifying at the best of times, but this isn't about my anxiety. It's about the best decision to keep kids safe AND to give them appropriate agency.
Never forget that kids are adults-in-training.

For Pride Month, i wrote about Stop!! Hibari-kun, an accidentally trans-positive gag manga from the 1980s about a girl who serves sickening fish and her idiot boyfriendâs inability to chill out about it. @aftermath.site
Maybe we need a lot less of this. Maybe people who put together a lot of meaningless words have had too much influence everywhere.
The focus of "Stop!! Hibari-kun" isn't that Hibari is transâitâs other charactersâ cartoonish inability to chill out about it

Saw someone once say they personally think of LGTM as âletâs gamble, try mergingâ because you *know* anyone who leaves it as a comment on a pull request hasnât actually taken the time to review the code lol

As someone else said, this is less about protecting children and more dealing with their parents' anxieties, and also with stuff the parents might not want their kids to learn

New: Researchers have quantified how easy AI search is to manipulate. Just 13 words buried in a random Reddit comment can poison AI search results. They suggest this is not easy to stop: "The way you can attack these systems is so much dumber than you think it is"
