At moments of crisis, leaders have a responsibility to speak to, and for, their country.
The PM should be on the airwaves, telling the stories of the children, teenagers and families who have been burned out of their homes; naming those responsible; and leading a national fightback against them.
This was a race riot.
Families were driven from their homes. People were targeted because of who they are and where they come from.
Words matter. Those who fuel hatred and division bear responsibility too.
We have more in common than that which divides us.

seen multiple versions of this today and can we not? do you know how many entirely friendly people have been issued visas by *all* the home secretaries? my wife was issued a visa by theresa may. you get where this talking point will end up when the people doing the rioting see it, right?
