Nobody asked, but if you wanna know how I know I don't have a general intelligence, it's because I'm reminded of this fact every time I go to do something that is not word-based. Do you know how long it's taking me to work on a simple powerpoint presentation?
This is a fair point re: SWE itself, but I'm curious about broader impacts. If SWE becomes revolutionized in some sense, what effects does that have on society as a whole?
That's like an impossible question, I know there's no satisfying answer. But I have a poor imagination.
Moderately bullish on the medium- and long-term, but I am not actually sure this is the way to look at what is called "AI" today. And anything that would cause this probably should not share the same name ("AI").
