Mehran & David just developed a new tool: The WildlifeTag Automator, a one-click-tool that streamlines the post-field workflow: simply input raw data from Vesper Tags (IMU, Audio, GPS), and the tool automatically decodes and organizes everything into analysis-ready formats!

Meet the Team! Konstantin is a master's student in Applied Computer Science. As part of a seminar on data science, he joined us to create a customizable mobile application for behavioral data collection. The application is built using Flutter and will be available to all researchers once completed.

Congratulations to Sophie who recently submitted her Master’s thesis!
Sophie is a student from the Mathematics Department. She is interested in combining bioacoustics and deep learning, with a strong motivation to develop methods that are applicable to real-world biological research.

During her master’s thesis, she was working on automatic segmentation and classification of ring-tailed lemur vocalizations from long, noisy audio recordings, leveraging Audio Foundation Models, achieving excellent results!
